LANGUAGE
The official language of the Congress is English. Simultaneous translation will be available in Italian.
The official language of the Nurse Congress is Italian. No simultaneous translation will be available.
LETTER OF INVITATION
The Organizing Committee will issue a letter of invitation upon request. The invitation is intended to facilitate participant’s travel and visa arrangements and does not imply a provision of any financial or other support.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
The certificate of attendance will be given to all attending delegates at the end of the Congress.
No Certificate will be issued after the Congress.
CME CREDITS (EUROPE)
Accreditation by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists will be requested.
The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS)
The attendance certificate will be available at the Registration Desk.
ECM CREDITS (ITALY)
Congress will offer ECM credits. Credit numbers will be communicate at the opening ceremony. All Italian participants will receive detailed information and instructions on how to apply for the ECM credits in the registration kit.
ABOUT ROME
Access by Air
“Leonardo da Vinci”is an intercontinental airport located in Fiumicino, the 4th in Europe for number of passengers handled. It provides the traveller with modern services and facilities. It is 26 km away from the centre of Rome, in the southeast area and can be easily reached from the airport by public transportation and/or by taxi.
Public Transportation
Leonardo da Vinci - Rome Termini Railway Station
Time: 40 minutes (no intermediate stops).
Trains heading for Rome half-hourly each day, the train makes no mid-journey stops.
Ticket from Fiumicino to Central Termini railroad station (one-way): fare € 8,80
Leonardo da Vinci - Rome Tiburtina:
Stops in different areas of the city among which Trastevere.Trains heading for Rome leave every 20 minutes during the working days, Sunday and holidays every 60: fare € 8,80.
Taxi
Time: 30-40 minutes
We recommend that you use only authorised taxis (white vehicles with a taximeter) available at the arrivals areas of each terminal. The aproximative fare for a run to the center of Rome is about € 40,00.
Supplements might be asked for luggage and night-time runs.

Access by Train
Rome is the focus of the Italian railway network. Excellent Intercity service links Rome to every major town in Europe. Termini Station, the main railway station, located right in the centre of the city, provides swift service to and from all points of the Country.
Access by Road
Italy has 6,400 km of motorways developing a technologically updated network, which reaches all regions of the Country. Rome can be easily reached by road from the motorway network “Autostrada del Sole - A1”, which is the longest Italian motorway going from the north to the south of the Country.
We remind you that the central area of Rome, is forbidden to private unauthorized car; please, mind the ZTL sign at the entrance of this area if driving your own car.
Transportation within the city
Several bus lines connect all areas of the city. The underground (Metro) has two lines, Linea A and Linea B. The two lines intersect at Termini railway station. Tickets, valid for 75 minutes travelling on the whole urban system (underground and buses), can be purchased at tobacconists and newsstands.
Currency
The official currency in Italy is EURO.
Banks and Exchange
Banks are open from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and in the early afternoon, from 3.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday money can be changed in hotels, currency exchange booths at Termini main railway station, and at the airport.
Credit Cards
Major credit cards are accepted by hotels, restaurants and most shops.
Tips
Restaurant bills include a service charge so you are not expected to tip. However, it is common practice to leave a small amount.
Tipping taxi drivers is also optional.
Weather
In April, weather is usually continental.
The temperature rises during the day to an average of 15/18°C. Do not forget a raincoat or umbrella for occasional showers.
Voltage
Electricity in Italy is supplied at 220 volts - 50Hz AC. Foreign appliances could require an adaptor.
Visas and Passport
A valid passport or internationally recognized travel document is required.
For special VISA requirements, the Organizing Secretariat - Triumph Congressi – will issue a letter of invitation of the Congress upon request.
Shopping in Rome
For exclusive shopping: the Spanish Steps area, Via Condotti, Via del Babuino, Via dei Coronari.
Other shopping areas are: Via del Corso, Via del Tritone, Via Cola di Rienzo.
Hunting for antiques: Via Margutta, Via dei Coronari, Via Giulia.
Local colour: Porta Portese-flea market every Sunday morning.
Shops in Rome are open between 9:00 and 13:00 and from 16:00 to 19:30. Most of the shops in the
Central Shopping Area are open all day.
Insurance
The Organising Secretariat and The Organising Committee do not accept any liability for personal injuries sustained or loss, or damage to, property belonging to congress participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the congress. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance. Members of the European Union are advised to issue in their Country the health insurance form E111. Sole place of jurisdiction is Rome, Italy. Italian law is applicable.
